comclean only gives me a renamed file - no cleaned file

I have run comclean manually and it says this...

Couldn't find any valid system header

Then one of the ranges generates an invalid range

System cannot find the file specified

Any help out there?

What is your recording source?
Dome DVB source produce a mpeg mpgtx can not handle.

Can you post the .txt file used by comskip?

Got it to work on another shorter file - but it completely missed the ads!!!

I am using a Compro DVB T200 card.

Did you change the framerate to NTSC?

No I didn't - it is still 2500

comclean converts the frame numbers outputted by comskip in the .txt file to "time" used by mpgtx doing the actual cutting.
To do this it needs to know the framerate.
For NTSC content it should be 29.97 (2997 in the comclean.bat)
For PAL content it should be 25 (2500 in the comclean.bat file)

If you have NTSC content and use the PAL framerate mpgtx will be asked to cut beyond the end of the file and that will generate errors.

Comskip has a entry in the ini file
output_mpgtx=0
if you change that to
output_mpgtx=1
comskip (the later versions) will generate a .bat file that can be called after comskip. This .bat file directly calls mpgtx with the right time codes and thus eliminating the problems in comclean.
I did not extensively try this out so there still may be some small problems.

All my programs are from UK so are all PAL - comclean is set to 2500

I haver run comclean manually on a file recorded - it does reduce the size of the file but the ads are still in there - it obviuously needs tuning.

Is there somehere to teach you a little about how to tune comskip?

Comclean will still not run from postprocessing.bat.

Some kind person uploaded a DVB mpeg recording.
mpgtx/comclean has a problem with those recordings.
The positioning inside DVB MPEG fails, therefore the cutting is done in wrong places
For the moment I am not able to solve this because I can not rebuild mpgtx
