Freesat UK no EPG option

I have just installed version 5 and scanned for Freesat UK  channels.

All appears to be working ok except I can not see an option to select Freesat in the EPG source box , please see  attached screenshot


I am obviously missing something.

I rebooted my PC just incase it would resolve the issue but alas I am going backwards as the program is reporting a system 500 error.

Any ideas ??.

Isn't Freesat just DVB?

Hi Martin

On version 4 you need to select Freesat to obtain the EPG it ppears as a separate link in the pickbox

I think that NPVR should use DVB by default.

AIUI The Freesat EPG is encrypted so can't be read by any device without a licence from the constortium.

Does the DVB EPG option work with it? They are pretty much the same thing, and the DVB EPG does cope with the huffman encoded strings used by Freesat - we use the same encoding on our DVB-T network here. The differences are fairly minor, and relate to the frequency that carries EPG data.

Do you have any channels on 11428/H/27500? (which I think is the main EPG frequency used by Freesat in the UK)
