KingArgyle Wrote:I was experiencing the same problem as Pioneer4x4 with Zap2It. I ended up switching the the XMLTV feed of Zap2It and that feed seems to be working. I tried both a manual update of the EPG and the automated at night, didn't get anything beyon 9/20 at 8pm (that was the last entry). Switching to the XMLTV feed I now have up through the 24th which is what I would expect. There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary when I looked at the Config.exe.log file.

So for those still experiencing the issue, the work around is to switch to an XMLTV version of Zap2it.
I was thinking of that, but I really don't know what to do exactly. I'll try it tonight.

That log didnt contain an attempt to try to udpate the EPG. Can you try again, and post the logs straight afterwards? Remember, the log will be overwritten if you restart Config.exe

I'll do that this evening. I have shows running until 6:00 pm. Or can I run it while recording?

BTW, I've been meaning to ask, what is the UTC time difference where you live, and what are your normal hours monitoring the forums? I seem to post anytime except midnight to 6:am my time (UTC-4)

You can do it while it is recording, but just dont click the OK button to close the config app.

I'm in New Zealand which is UTC+12. I keep really odd hours...I'm typically up at 4:30am (luckily daylight savings is about to make this a more respectable 5:30am), and I keep an eye on the forums most of the day. I work from home, so its pretty easy.

So if I did the math right, it is 7:00 am tomorrow morning there? (this is so weird.) I knew you were in NZ but never looked at the time zone.

Can I right click on the tray app and do it that way?

Sub, I ran the "update EPG" again, these are the only files updated recently.

09/14/2005 03:00 PM 327,680 video archive.mdb
09/14/2005 03:00 PM 3,346 renamerecordings.log
09/14/2005 03:00 PM 107 comskip.bat
09/14/2005 03:08 PM 3,349 comskiphelper.log
09/14/2005 03:27 PM 512 gbpvr.ldb
09/14/2005 03:27 PM 9,834,496 gbpvr.mdb

the Config.exe.log is the same as I sent you. I ran it by the tray app. When it ran, I was able to see it downloading over the network twice, and max out the cpu for a good while twice. It appeared to do the same as it always did.

This time I ran it from the config app. A show was recording, but not as important. It seemed to run fine, I only ran it from one source. It showed up in the log this time. There is still not any new data in the guide. THe last show listed starts at 10TongueM next Wednesday.
