!!History
v.38 2005-09-13 (Requires 94.8 or later)
*xsearch and xguide-fixed a conflict bug with 2 tuners. (Problem exists in gbpvr too) Occurs when you have two short shows
and you try to schedule a show that overlaps the two of them. It complains about conflict. Resolved.
*xrecord-updated skin to show buttons at the bottom
*xguide-now has watch. It also has a 5 minute fudge factor so you can switch to it 5 minutes before it starts.
*xguide-watch will not appear if there is a conflict.
*xguide and xsearch - multituner machines now show more up to 4 options in the conflict window.
*xrecord-attempted fix for watched section index out of bounds.

My mommy said I'm not to smart, so I should ask questions before I hurt my head trying to figure them out:

I was showing XGuide to the wife last night, mentioning we'd be switching to it. I happened to have a block w/ recording in it, so I could show her how it shades the top to indicate that.

What I also noticed is some shows in a bright yellow in the same timeslot. What does that indicate? Are they shows that overlap the recording block, so you wouldn't see the whole thing if you started watching before the recording?

I didn't make the possible connection at first, because while one was clearly an overlap (2hr movie starting one hour ahead), the other was 2 30min shows (which I think now could have a start like 7:55).

I believe the yellow indicates a conflict. Does that make sense of what the guide is doing? I have not really tested the conflict logic much.

Hmmm...maybe not...I went back to that block from last night, and only one movie on the guide was in yellow, but one right below it w/ same length was not. The two 30min shows were exact (on the hour), so that shoots down my other theory).

Neither are shows I have recorded before, so there's no reason I can think they would be blocked in yellow....only thing they remotely had in common was that they were both sci fi.....is this a "show me a type in guide" thing I hit by accident, maybe?

I've seen this and figured that it was showing certain types of shows in different colors. I thought maybe only one type was setup up as an example.

both scifi. Do you have the zapdb populated. It is probably genere highlighting. I have only enabled one or two generes. I was hoping others would come up with the color code mapping per genere.

Thats it
<NamedColor name="GenereBrush_Science" color="Yellow"/>
<NamedColor name="GenereBrush_Sciencefiction" color="Yellow"/>

It is in Skin-schedule.xml

you can actually color code the entire guide.

If you do or if anyone else can you send me the colors from the skin.

The yellow turns out to be sci-fi as I guessed. It looks like it can't render the other colors according to my logs.
