I don't suppose anyone knows if there is anywhere I can download the "Hauppauge WinTV Color Format Converter 2". That seems to be where my issue is. The errors in my log still say:
14:39:16.750 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Hauppauge WinTV Color Format Converter 2
14:39:16.750 ERROR Failed to find color converter filter

Needless to say, I still don't have GBPVR working, it still has the same problem. I don't know how many times I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. I never was able to get those drivers to work from that link, either.

I really need to get this working right, because I need to record a program tomorrow night.

Have you tried setting you deinterlacing to 'encoder pass-through'? This may help your live tv problem.

I tried changing the deinterlacing to "encoder pass through", and I still got the same error, but the error in the log changed. This time it didn't say anything about the Hauppauge Color Format Converter..

15:11:18.796 ERROR Failed to get capture filter output pin. This will cause encoder auto-detection to fail

I have actually tried to record, and it acts like it is recording (The red light turns to green on the GB icon), but when I look at the files, they are unplayable, which I'm sure is due to the fact that they are 0 bytes in size.

This is really a bummer. I like GB-PVR so well, and it is so easy to use. I don't suppose there is a way to get an older version of it, like maybe the one that was current in April or May? Just for grins I'd kind of like to see if the version I had before I reformatted would work. I didn't see a page with older versions listed anywhere.

You could try http://www.gbpvr.com/GBPVR09211.msi which is the oldest one I still have. I've deleted the others.

Make sure you uninstall and delete the gbpvr directory first. Its not designed to handle downgrades.

Thanks a bunch, I sure do appreciate it. I just downloaded that version, and I'm going to try it later. I'll post back if it works for me....

YAY!!!!!! WOO-HOOOOOOOO!

I think I got it working!!!! I installed the older version that you gave me, and it still didn't work. But, as a last ditch effort before I uninstalled it and completely gave up, I went into Config, and I changed the capture card setting. I have a PVR-150, and that is what it was set for. But, I decided to tell it that I have a PVR-250, and guess what? It's working fine now! I can see LiveTV, and I can even record, and it's all working great!! No more errors, and there aren't even any errors in my log file. It actually says in my log that it detected the Hauppauge WinTV Color Format Converter!

Are there any forseeable problems if GB-PVR thinks I have a PVR-250, when I really only have a PVR-150? I hope not, because I'm just thrilled to have it working again!

I'd say you've actually got a PVR250 then, and not a PVR150. If you configure a PVR150 as a PVR250, you'll get a log full of errors stating the IVAC interface is not support, and it wouldnt be able to record.

Quote:It actually says in my log that it detected the Hauppauge WinTV Color Format Converter!
The presence of this file confirms you have PVR250 drivers installed. The PVR150 drivers install a different file (Hauppauge WinTV Color Format Converter 2).

Several months ago there were some reports of PVR250MCE's being sold as PVR150MCE and vice versa. These are sold white box so can be easily done. The retail versions obviously come in a big branded box, so I think these would be less likely to contain the other type of device.
