I am trying to upgrade from v4 to v5 as v4 stopped working (unmanaged.dll error that's not fixed with a C++ 2015-2019 install).

In v5 when I attempt to add devices, the login screen just gives me the blue circle after typing in admin and then password.

If I click again on devices, my browser opens a 2nd window that allows me to change settings.

BUT the only Device I can find is IPTV Device, my dual tuner Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 (8851) is not listed.  Clicking Rescan for devices does not seem to do anything.

I've tried installing v5 with v4 installed.  I've tried uninstalling v5 and then uninstalling v4 and then reinstalling v5.  I've tried re-installing C++ via the VC_redist.x86.exe, same result.

Thanks for any help.

Attached logs.

Are tuner devices visisble in Device Manager?  Does a reboot cause a re-initialise of the drivers and make the devices visible?

Yes, the device manager screen is where I copied the name from: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 (8851)

Several reboots have not resulted in a solution.

But just for kicks, I tried again, and now my tuners are listed.

Thanks

I was too quick. The devices are listed (possibly because I copied my npvr.db3 file from the v4 to the v5 directory location).

I am NOT able to scan for or find any channels even though I show:
ATSC Hauppauge WinTV-7164 BDS ATSC/QAM Tuner (ATSC) (unavailable) 77 channels
ANALOG Hauppauge WinTV-7164 (unavailable)
QAM Hauppauge WinTV-7164 BDA ATSC/QAM Tuner (QAM) (unavailable)

Please help

Does restarting the service help? NextPVR needs to detect the tuners at start or they show unavailable.

The ... device-Hauppauge WinTV-7164 BDA ATSCQAM Tuner-1.log ... has ...

It appears that NextPVR is not finding the drivers for your devices.  I don't know why.

My suggestion is to uninstall the tuner(s) in Device Manager and reboot so that Windows re-installs the device drivers.

I uninstalled my OTA reciever card.  Reset my computer twice (windows re-installed the drivers for my OTA card
.zip   logs-20200725-1222.zip (Size: 34.81 KB / Downloads: 2) ).  No change.

Attached logs if that helps anyone figure this out?
