I've recently installed V5 and noticed that the new client can't seem to detect subtitle streams - both the Ctrl-X popup and the right click context menu only show the single "Disabled" option in the Subtitle list.

The subtitles are definitely there in the recorded file, I can select them if I open the file in Kodi or VLC, or indeed the V4 client.

Is this a known issue?

Are you watching in nextpvr.exe?

What country are you in, and what type of subtitles? ie, Closed Captions, Teletext Subtitles or DVB Subtitles?

Yep, the new nextpvr.exe version. I'm in UK and usually get DVB substitles, sometimes also Teletext.

As I said, I can open the recorded videos in anything else (including V4 nextpvr.exe) and see the subtitles even for new V5 recordings.

Does this updated nextpvr.exe help?

Yes! It is allowing me to select DVB subtitles now. Although sometimes the colouring is off when different people are speaking (dark text on dark background - can't read those!)

Great!

If you want to supply a short sample recording, I'll check it out.

Hi sorry for the delay.  Here's a test recording.  When the chap in glasses is talking the subs come up with a very dark colour against a black background.  When the narrator or the lady speak, they have white and bright pink/purple IIRC...

Thanks - I see what's happening. This updated NextPVRUI.dll should fix it for you.

These DVB subtitles were transmitting a custom colour table, and NextPVR wasn't interpreting it correctly.

Had the same problem, installed the latest NextPVR today (fresh install) and there are no subtitle streams available to choose from when watching live TV.
I've downloaded the updated nextpvr.exe and then Teletext subtitle stream becomes available, but unfortunately there are still no subtitles displayed when I select the stream (I'm in Brisbane, Australia)?

Also, Norton really doesn't like the updated nextpvr.exe, it automatically deletes it when extracting the zip file and even when I override it, it still blocking something in the background while nextpvr client is running :-(

You'll need to supply logs showing the issue. Make sure you have both of the files above installed.
