Notification of updates

Since I rarely have a need to go to Settings page of the web client I was wondering if a link (or some other indication) to the announcement could be placed on the  main menu bar when a new update is available. This would be more likely to draw attention for people wanting to stay current.

You can subscribe to announcement thread by clicking the "Subscribe to this forum" link at the top right https://forums.nextpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=18. Then any announcement sub makes will be emailed to you.

Thanks Martin, I'll do that. Since the information has already been included in the menu system I would still like to see an indication that an update is available on the main menu linking to the changelog. I'm thinking something like maybe changing the color of the Settings gear or adding a linked icon that would appear.
