How about improving the "Search Guide" with a future programme notification?

It would work like this :-

1. Enter the key words of the programme name

2. The system would automatically notify you if the programme appears after the EPG is updated.

3. Maybe it could even record it for you if the search name is a perfect match

What you think?

I second this. I would like to make a list of wanted movies and have them record automatically regardless of how far in the future they may be.

It should be, after the updated version of "RecordingUtils.dll" I posted here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=66.

Hey! I've been looking for this functionality for ages.

I just...

o Upgraded to 98.08
o Installed Xrecord
o Updated recordingutils.dll
o Added a few entries to the scheduler.

All looks fine.

Now, what comes next? Is there some kind of schedule check that will create 'pending' recordings based on my scheduler entries?

Hope you guys can help. Smile Smile Smile

Make sure you have PriorityRecordings.exe in your PostProcessing.bat file, and it will run after your episode guide is updated. Alternatively, I belive if you press the Ctrl-Y or the yellow button you can manually run the scheduler from within XRecord.

Thanks KingArgyle. I'd just about figured it out when you posted.
The match seems to be case sensitive by default, is there anyway to ignore case?

Eg. "Calendar" find 8 programs, "calendar" finds none.
I wanted to use this to search for key phrases for programmes that are not being broadcast at the moment, but may be in the near future. I have no idea as to how the programme will be capitalised in the EPG data.

Thanks once again. Smile

I haven't looked at that code in months. Ton would probably know. It depends on how the search code is implemented. I think it just checks for the keywords in the string, but maybe should either make everything upper or lower case and then compare.

Ton is probably the most currently active developer of CDK Scheduler so would be the best to address this.
