This is still happening for me with the new NextPVR DLLs from 12-31-2020

It is much more likely to occur (perhaps only occurs) when using two Kodi-knewc clients at the same time.

Logs attached for NextPVR and local client Kod .

I will need to do an update to log this better in knewc but it appears that NextPVR might have sent screens to 127.0.0.1 after a stop on 10.99.99.86

Thanks Martin. That would be consistent with what we see. One of us goes to watch TV in the bedroom (10.99.99.86) while the other watches on the server local client (127.0.0.1). I wasn't sure if it was the "stop" or some other remote control button presses because by the time I've checked in with the boss she's already watching something else, but I have confirmed she had just used the remote to change shows. In other words, it doesn't happen randomly with playback in progress on both clients, it's happens when one of the clients is stopping/starting/navigating the UI.

Thanks,
-Brad

Can you confirm the date of the 3 updated files are Dec. 30th?

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 100352 Dec 30 16:33 NUtility.dll
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 455680 Dec 30 16:33 NextPVRUI.dll
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 954368 Dec 30 16:33 NShared.dll

It may or may not be worth noting that the local client can cause the same video stop/audio continues scenario on the remote client.

FYI I did get my ODroid N2+ up and running (10.99.99.86) and it does seem a little faster than my N2's. One cool thing I noted is it seems to power-down automatically with the TV (red LED on the back turns off), and then comes back on when the TV is powered back on. My other N2's don't do that.

I don't use CEC but but I use the power button on my remote to power my N2 off and on. This is my first small client that power has worked so nicely. I'm running CE with Matrix now too and quite pleased.

Did you confirm those files?

I actually did this last night before I posted. It seemed like forever ago that I did this, so I just wanted to confirm I had actually done it before wasting anyone's time. Unfortunately the file timestamps seem to reflect when they were copied to the /opt/nextpvr/system folder because mine have dates of "Jan 9", but I did confirm the file sizes (bytes) match those in the zip from sub that I downloaded on 12-31-20.

Is that sufficient or is there some other way to check? I did backup the existing DLLs first, I guess I could check the file sizes on those tonight to make sure they are different.

Interesting that you can power-on with the remote. If I power off my N2's with the remote they won't power back on with the remote. I have to unplug them and plug back in, I was thinking that was a h/w thing vs some in CE. Maybe I need to check for updates or perhaps something with the remote configuration? I'll have to see what the power button does with the N2+ and CE, but it seems like my N2+ is responding to some activity on the HDMI port.

Thanks,
-Brad

There is a forum post on the CE forum explaining how to do it and not all remotes support power on. HDMI activity is CEC related. I don't use it because I use my TV's an monitor for for than NextPVR.
