Unhandled exception when tuning live channel

I hope you'll forgive me if I missed this issue addressed elsewhere, my searching so far hasn't been fruitful.

I recently completely reinstalled Windows 10, and subsequently NextPVR.  I followed the setup instructions, successfully imported the recurring recordings from the previous instantiation of NPVR v4, and live TV worked as expected.  I initially had trouble getting ready recordings imported, but once I copied the relevent .db3 file into the data folder they showed up as expected.

The issue I'm currently running in to then reared its ugly head.  When I try to watch live TV from the TV Guide screen in the client, I get this error:

Clicking continue doesn't do anything, the client freezes and I have to kill it in task manager.  I'll attach logs after recreating the error.

It is likley that NextPVR is unhappy with the old V4 device values in the database.

In NextPVR Web App Settings ... delete all of the tuner devices (see here re. Ctrl key ... https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/Add...e-settings) and then reboot and reinstall the tuner devices.

I did as you suggested, deleted the devices, rebooted, reconfigured them with SD, updated the EPG, and I received the same error. I then rebooted again just for good measure, no joy.

Sorry ... I jumped to conclusions ... I have now had a better look at the error ... And it's over my head ... Someone with real skills will be along soon (or maybe someone that is better than me at guessing).

I'll head back to the machine and look at that, however I just first want to mention that part of that problem is that for some reason I can't find an OK/Apply button in the media folders section of the client settings dialog to get it to actually save when I edit the path...  Is it because the TV is 720p and the window is cut off or something?  I've tried several different ways to try and get the directories I want to use for recordings and buffer cache to stick, and apparently none are successful so far.

I started receiving worse and more gratuitous errors the further into that rabbit hole I went, so I just broke down, saved copies of the .db3, recording, and recurring backups, and reinstalled NPVR. This time, however, before trying to configure anything, I copied those three into the data directory, and voilà. A tiny bit of this and that here and there to get things configured, and (fingers crossed) I believe I'm back to norminal.

I'm sure I went out of proper order of operations when performing the initial setup.
