Error parsing EntityName Line 10 position 28

Hello, need help on this one, so I've been getting this error on v4 recently and when I click Continue it would close and I could continue what needed to be done, also in the Recurring screen is now blank and this error comes up.
so moving forward I gave in and did the "upgrade" to v5 and when I copied all of v4 data to v5 I still get this error and nothing is in reoccurring recording screen, but my reoccurring item are still coming up, i just can't make any changes to them, and I still get the error, but now it will not let me close the window or browser window it just make me keep clicking continue. have to close it in task Manager.

Can you post a screenshot of the error, and the logs? Sounds like you've got some invalid xml somewhere (like bad recording metadata).

You can't attach and post npvr.db3. You can zip it and if it under 2 MB you can attach it if not you need to try Google Drive One Drive, Dropbox etc.

You must have recently created a new Recording Directory "R&I" and NextPVR isn't properly encoding that before putting it in the database.

Do you know how to use sqlite?

Ok it isn't hard to learn but I deleted the bad records for you. I removed the EPG data to make it a small file so you will need to do an EPG update after the following

- stop the nextpvr recording service
- backup your npvr.db3
- overwrite npvr.db3 with the file in the attached zip
- restart the service

Then do the EPG update.  You have lots of duplicate rules you can clean out, make sure the rule you have for "Rizzoli & Isles" is correct, I removed four of them.

Also don't use the R&I directory if you have it, I see you add one called RI too
