Hauppauge remote problem

Hi,
I've just reinstalled my machine from scratch and put the latest version of gbpvr on. Its working fine apart from the remote. It mostly works ok except for certain buttons like ffwd, rwd, skip buttons and mute. I have the 34 and 45 button hauppauge remote and the same buttons refuse to work on either. I've tried doing the fix and restarting the ir but it still doesnt work.
Can you suggest anything else i can try?

I've tried using the remotes with my mvp using the mvp software instead of gbpvr and both remotes work fine. I guess the problem must be with either gbpvr or the mvpserver. Have you come accross anything like this before? i've tried reinstalling the dirvers and gbpvr but its still the same

Just a guess, but it sounds like when you're stopping the Hauppauge MVP software you're only stopping one of the two MVP services. Try stopping it using the Start -> Programs ->Hauppauge MVP -> Stop icon. This will run a batch file which stops both MVP services.

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and I must say that GBPVR is a great program, but I'm having the same issue as hardrinseron is having and I have manually stopped both services, any other thoughts?

Hi sub,

I realised i had installed the ir software after gbpvr which i thought may have caused it so i wiped it all and started again. However, it still doesnt work correctlt. The only difference between what im doing now and the before when the remote worked fine is that now im using the latest build. Not that i want to knock your superb program but as im not the only one with this problem, could it be a bug in the new build? I guess if a fix cant be found i can live with it. Most of the buttons work ok. Mute doesnt work at all, and it seems the ffwd, rwd buttons seem to skip.
