Hi,
I'm new to GBPVR. I got it working last night but now every time I try to record something or watch live TV, I get this error

GBPVRRecording Service.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Service

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0xd70(3440), Thread id=0xdb4(3508)

When I press "debug" it gives me this message:
Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2(2) Please check computer settings.

cordbg.exe !a 0xd70

Any ideas on what I should do?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

What type of capture card do you have?

Can you try to view live tv, then post your gbpvr.exe-native.log file?

I have a Hauppauge pvr-150 that I just bought and installed. I can give to the native log if you can tell me how to do that. Sorry, I'm not very computer literate.

The log is in the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr directory.

sub, I am having the same problem.

This happens each time I try to restart the recorder or gbpvr. My main menu is saying that it is currently recording a show, but the recorder is idle.

I might have tried to start a recording after the show had begun - I don't know if that did it.

Here is my gbpvr.exe-native.log file:

I should also add that I just re-installed EVERYTHING related to gbpvr (even deleted the directory to be sure after uninstall) and tried to record a program that was starting in 30 mins and get the same error.

My GB recorder status says "sleeping" even though on the main menu it says that it is recording.

I cannot watch live tv right now while it "thinks" it is recording.

Chris,

See this link, describing the same error. Recording Service Exception

The problem for many of us that have had this problem is to upgrade to the beta pvr-150 drivers. The current non-beta drivers from Hauppauge just don't work. I only got the error when recording from component input... I don't know if that's the case for others though. Try the drivers mentioned in the thread and let us know if that solves your problem.

Good luck,
Tim
