Not picking up all the channels, but WinTV does it ok?

Hi,

I'm scanning all channels to be sure I get everything - choosing only 1 transmitter leaves loads of channels out. I'm in York.

I'm missing stuff like BBC 3&4, E4+1, etc, although I do have some duplicate channels with no audio. WinTV2000 can tune everything fine, with a good signal.

I'm using WinTV nova-t USB2, BDA to tune (with correct selection for the WinTV usb2). EPC source is Bleb UK.

Anyone any idea how to fix? I saw a reg hack somewhere for manual tuning, but it looks a real nightmare to implement.

I think I may have the answer to my own question! Unlike digital TV boxes (for normal TVs) the hauppage tuner wont show data services. So, when BC 3&4 etc are off the air ther is nothing for it to tune into.

This sound correct?
