Uidroid skipped by itself

I was watching an in-progress game today an about 1:40 timeline or so the video seemed to have a stutter or something and then it started jumping ahead to live all by itself. The channel is one of the QAM SD. I was watching about 15-20 min delayed.

Hope the Nextpvr logs will show something. I didn't get the Uidroid logs.

I see a 30 second skip at 107 and several skips just after that.

Around that time in less than 5 seconds you hit skip 9 times which might be a bit too much.

You seem to be watching it over an hour delayed too but unless I am missing some details the timeline is being reported ok. Unfortunately the timeline is faked for skipping in growing files so I can't truly tell but the range requests look ok.

I think it was after that the the wierd fast forward happened. Sometime my Tivo remote gets disconnected from the NVShield and the player stops. Then I have to catch up. Maybe it a remote problem.

No problem. What I couldn't figure out is where it went to live, none on the range requests I saw suggested that. If the same thing happens again, then I'd be happy to look at the logs.

Hi Martin,

The weird fast forward to live happened again while watching the same channel in-progress recording. When the player went forward as far as it would go it froze. I could not skip back so I stopped the player. I think it was 13:50+ where it happened.

The shield was reporting an incorrect media time as it jumped from

and it stuck there at 25755, so that would be a player error or something in the file, uidroid only reports what ExoPlayer reports and this would not be something that can be fixed client side.

There is a missing log line now where we used to see the resume position being stored. I am guess the 25755 value was too big so you didn't get a resume and had to start at zero.

After you restarted you skipped past that point in the file, you could see if there is a file issue by seeking to 40 o 41 minutes and seeing if it freezes.

Seeking to 40 and skipping ahead one click caused the same behavior. So, as you suspected there seems to be file issue at that spot.

Ok good you can try other clients to see if is the Shield. Resuming into a bad area isn't really going to be good either and sub's new auto resume storage will be a negative on this type of file if the client actually crashes.

If it is repeatable on other devices send me a link to the file and I can see if I can auto skip over this particular loop.
