I have the comskip, and comclean files in my GBPVR directory.

I have comskip set to do its funky thang from the new config tab.

Do I still need it it in postprocessing? I have put CALL comclean %1 in there, so is the story that after recording it will use the comskip files and clean out the commercials leaving me with a commercial free program?

Does postprocessing run automatically?

Thanks

Just like all the previous releases, if you have a PostProcessing.bat, then GB-PVR wont run comskip itself.

If you need to run more than just comskip, then you need to do exactly what you would have with the previous release, i.e. add the various steps to PostProcessing.bat

I have never tried a postprocessing.bat before. Will it just run automatically after a show is recorded, and with comskip and comclean produce a mpg file with the commercials removed?

With the correct commands in your PostProcessing.bat, you can run these two utilities.

If you only need to run comskip, not other things comclean, RenameRecording etc, then you dont need a batch file at all. Just set GB-PVR to run comskip during the recording (see Processing tab in config app).

If you need to run other stuff in the batch file, then you could put comskip and these other commands in ParallelProcessing.bat.

To sort this out a little bit Wink
I have comskip in ParallelProcessing.bat
This has it run, as the recording is in progress, thus is faster to finish.
I then have Comclean and RenameRecordings in PostProcessing.bat
If you try and mix the three into parallelprocessing, comclean fails, because it's trying to clean a partially finished file.
Do NOT enable comskip in config, if you run ANY other commands, either in parallel or post.
You can never have enough tuners!

Quote:Yeah what I would like is to have comskip run while recording and then have comskippad run after comskip has run. So then I would put comskip in the ParallelProcessing.bat file and comskippad in the PostProcessing.bat file correct? Are there any other batch files that have hooks besides PostProcessing, ParallelProcessing, UpdateEPG and PostUpdateEPG?
For this I would put both comskip and comskippad in ParallelProcessing.bat. Comskip will run during the recording. When the recording completes comskip will finish and comskippad will run next.
