recording playback gives black screen

Hi,
I have just installed GB-PVR (v0.22.7) and I am trying to figure out all the features of this brilliant program.

I managed to make a live recording, which I can play back without problems in Media Player 9. However, when I try to play it back in GB-PVR I only get to see half a second of the video, which then turns black, while the audio continues playback.

My playback configuration:
video decoder: InterVideo
audio decoder InterVideo
Audio renderer: DirectSound
I have to use VMR7 because my system is not compatible with VMR9. If I choose Overlay, the screen gets stuck in Recordings > Play and I can only hear the audio.

my system:
Athlon XP 2100
Hauppauge PVR150
on-board video (SIS 630/730)

Hi,

I have the same problem. I can play back the video fine with Windows Media Player, but when I try to play it back from within the GB-PVR I just get a black screen with audio, and have to press <ESC> to get back to the main menu.

Does this have anything to do with not being able to find a mpeg multiplexer filter on the PC? If so how can I get one, a free one? Thanks.
