First i've got to say: Great Work!
Your software is much better than the software that came with my PVR-350.

But i've run into a problem. Using the software on my PC, everything is working okay. I can also see the menu at the Media MVP, and select the program guide.

But when I try to play a mpeg / mp3 / live tv from the media MVP, I get a .NET socket error at my PC, causing the mediaMVP to lose the connection:

' Geen toegang tot een verwijderd object met de naam System.Net.Sockets.Socket.'
which is Dutch for 'no access to a deleted object with name 'System.Net.Sockets.Socket'.

It also says something like: System.ObjectDisposedException socket

After this error i've got to restart the mvp server.
I tried to reinstall the .Net framework but that didn't make any difference.

Maybe you've got a clue what the problem is.
Thanks!

You need to be running a recent version of the Hauppauge MediaMVP software. I suggest 2.1.22054 from:

ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/mediamvp/m....22054.exe

I'm not 100% sure this is your problem, but it can cause a similar error.

It did work!

Thanks alot.

But I still have got a problem watching a mpg recording or live-tv.
When I decide to stop watching, and push the stop / menu or back button I cannot return to the menu. When I shutdown the device with the remote, and turn it back on, I can't control the menu.

Then it is frozen until I restart the Server at the PC.

Someone else had that problem in the past, but I can remember the resolution.

Might have been me - are you still running the mvpmediasvr service as that seems to stop the osd appearing after you've pressed stop etc.

Yes it's still running, i kill the MVPMedia service but it seemed like i needed the HP MVPMediaSvc to be running to be able to connect to the server.

But I'm going to try to shut down the two HP services, and then start the MediaMVP service from GB-PVR.

Thanks alot so far.

Wow it really was the problem!

And now it is working! Thanks alot sub and paulrking, now I'm going to enjoy the system!

By the way, do you know of a way to run the GB-PVR Media MVP server as a windows service? In a way that it boots with windows before loggin in, and is invisible to the user? That would be great.

I've set the box up to auto login when started (if I remember correctly use "control userpasswords2" then clear the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer check box" and click OK it will prompt you for the username and password to logon with on restart. Then I simply set the gbpvr to run in the users startup folder.
