using kodi with nextpvr almost have things perfect. watching tv and there's a pause randomly during live tv. is there away to fix this?

Not without more information. A kodi debug log and a NextPVR log might help narrow things down. Right now all I can say is that it might be a way to fix it depending on the actual problem you're having.

think i figured this out if i use the intel hardware option video works perfectly. where is the tv guide data stored and can i back iti up, then import into a new install of nextpvr.

The TV guide data is stored in NextPVR. Kodi periodically updates its guide from the one in NextPVR, so there's really no need to try and back it up.

As pkscout posted don't worry about Kodi. No need to back it up it changes daily anyway.

If you are using XMLTV just copy the XMLTV file to the new instance and import normally.

If the EPG will be a new instance of NextPVR and you used Schedules Direct you will need to make sure that your NextPVR update times are well separated. Schedules Direct is for only one user but the measure they took to block EPG pirating can cause troubles for legitimate users too.
