Sorry, I got the two mixed up.  Any information you could provide on how to install a newer version of ffmpeg on ubuntu.  I already have the latest version available in the repository.

I don't think it is a ffmpeg issue but you would probably need to try from the command line multiple times with multiple scenarios with verbose logging to see.

You can use a search engine to install another ppa to answer your question if you think it will help.

You could also use jellfyin or Emby ffmpeg and change your linked path to use their version.
