Upgrade from 4.2.5

It has been working great, only glitch is occasional stuck recording because the file name is not what is passed to the script.
So I am finally considering upgrade.
I would like to retain my scheduled recordings and channel settings.
Can I export/import or backup these things?
I understand there is a cleanup needed since this old version does not use the same install method as the latest, what is needed?

Upgrading really depends on your tuner types. My suggestion is to follow the steps here https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/upd...on-Windows and if it works you are set and you can disable v4.

My tuners are Hauppauge WinTV 885 ATSC (4 tuners PCIe) and a BDA 2875 TVTuner (USB)

Right now I cannot use that install since it requires TLS 1.2 and I cant figure out how to get my system use that.
Is there a full install package that I can use instead?

What version of Windows are you using? With any modern version you shouldn't need to do anything to enable TLS

You can probably download https://nextpvr.com/NPVRSetup.exe and https://nextpvr.com/stable/win64/NPVR.zip and put them same directory, then run the NPVRSetup.exe.

I'd suggest deleting that NPVR.zip afterwards though.

I was surprised to see that Windows 7 doesn't have it enabled and it needs a patch and registry entries.

So I got v5 installed but have two major problems.

1. The web page is not accepting default credentials even after I reset them in config.xml

2. The Desktop App throws an Unhandled Exception and just shows a red x.

I just entered TLS 1.2 and Windows into a search enggien and found the information on enabling it on Windows 7. Can't help beyond that.

You might not have DirectX installed on your system. Does the -nogl parameter help NextPVR.exe?

-nogl worked.
And I fixed the login issue by using Chrome instead of IE.

Now I am testing recordings.
My script used to use ImageGrabLite. Glad to see I dont need that anymore.
The main consumer of these recordings is Kodi on an nVidia Shield and Emby for the other TVs.
I noticed that the NetPVR plugin to Kodi is showing there are no timers or rules even though the web interface shows them. Is there an update for this add-on for an nVidia Shield?
