Hi,
After very little problems with the 93 version, and having waited for the bugfix version of 94, I decided to upgrade to 94.13 this weekend. However, since the upgrade I experience many hangs of gbpvr. I did not notice when exactly the hang occurs, but I have attached the logs of the latest hang. Sub, can you see what is wrong? Or should I go back to version 93?

The hanging occurs consistently after watching a recording.

The gbpvr.exe.log is included.

what is wrong?

Sorry, I dont know. The only things shown in your logs are errors from VA and the Weather plugin, but I doubt these are the cause of your problem.

Are you using the TV out on your PVR350?

Yes I use the tv-out. And up till now it has been working great...

Maybe its time to do a complete reinstall... Or has anything changed in the support of the pvr350 tv-out?

Thanks for your effort.

Not that I'm aware of, but I dont test anything on the PVR350 TV out these days so I could have broken something (I dont think so though).

So I probably have to go back to 93... and it may also mean that I cannot keep joining the grow-curve of gbpvr. It is a bit said...

But 93 was very stable to me

I dont really know what to say. Sorry. I've made my views on the PVR350 pretty clear.

I'll probably try the default skin and if that doesn't work a fresh install of gbpvr v.94 one of these days. If that doesn't work, I'll go back to v93. Is the database backwards compatible?

Some more information on the problem:
After watching a program (recorded or recording) cpu for gbpvr.exe goes sky-high. Other programs on the pc still respond, albeit slow and retarded. I can kill gbpvr from the taskmanager, in general not the first, but the second time. When recording is taking place while watching a file, the recording gets very choppy.

Yesterday I thought two recordings had failed, as they only gave a black screen in gbpvr, with the time bar overlayed. Time showed 0, though. But in mplayer classic, I could play the files without problems.

I think it is sad you do not support the tv-out of the pvr350 actively, but respect it. It appears to have given you lots of work.

Try and bin the 350 if you can. Driver support has ceased by the manufacturer. Try and get a PVR150 if you need an analog card.

Well, I've always liked the fact that my cpu doesn't have to work to let me watch a recording. If I occasionaly play a movie through the graphics card tv-out, I'm always dissappointed with the image quality. It may be a question of fiddling with settings, though.

Anyway, to return to the original subject. I've changed from the XMEDIA skin to the default blue skin, and all seems to be working now. I haven't had a system hang since. And to be honest, after the impressive XMEDIA screens, the blue skin gives a beautifully serene impression.

The videos plugin by jeff acts strangely every now and then, though. It dissapeared from the main menu, reapeared, missed several recordings, but after restart of gbpvr showed all recordings...

Also, when a recording stops while I'm watching it, ShowAnalyzer (using comskip proxy) kicks in. Then GBPVR seems to loose focus. I'll probably have to set ShowAnalyzer to invisible mode. (Great prog BTW)

Anyway, I'm glad everything seems to work by now.
