Yeah, from memory this api was limited to 2 days.

I'll bump it up for the next release.

That would be fantastic thanks!

I also notice that when I play a show on the nextPVR client it displays a sort of poster/box art for the show. This doesn't seem to be exported either as there is a space for that to appear in channels but it's not passed through. Do you know what that could be and if it could also be implemented?

It takes a significant amount of effort for NextPVR to find the artwork for a show. It's not practical to do it for thousands of shows in the TV Guide.

Instead in NextPVR it only does it when you do specific events, like clicking a show in the TV Guide etc.

Understood, thanks for the clarity.

Updating the epg API would be brilliant.

I noticed that If I extract the XML from NEXTPVR it does not contain Genres ... NEW/Rerun Data and other tags it only contains Title and episode info sample below.

It was only ever intended to be fairly basic information. name/description/times/season-episode-number.

I have added genre for the next release.

I won't be adding the new/rerun flag. Most epg sources don't supply this info to NextPVR, so most of the shows that have been imported have been imported as 'new' (because we don't know otherwise, and this works best with NextPVR's scheduling logic). It'd be a mistake to publish xmltv file's saying everything is new.

You guys should be posting about how to make NextPVR better so you don't have to expose the EPG to another PVR and use NextPVR as an IPTV recorder. Recordings in NextPVR are much more reliable.

Hi Guys!

I have a little problem with   http://localhost:8866/service?method=channel.xmltv.
It works fine, but I need UTF8 format. Can it be solved?
Could you make it optional in the settings?
Regards

The default for xml is utf8. Is the actual problem the encoding or you reader?
