Honestly, for most IPTV providers, I wouldn't expect it to make any difference at all.
The reality is that most of the IPTV services are pretty shonky and it's hard to rely on a working consistently for a couple of hours at a time. They often have lots of little micro outages, and encoding problems, or sometimes the services are oversubscribed and can't keep up with real time.
