EPG can't display scandinavian characters

Hi. Using my supplied xmltv file on literally anything else, it will display Å, Ä, Ö, Æ, and Ø correctly. However, using my xmltv on NextPVR turns these letters into gibberish. How do I solve this? I really wanna use the NextPVR backend for Kodi because it's so much better than the simple IPTV Client addon in kodi. Only issue I'm having is that the letters turns into garbage when I insert my xmltv into NextPVR, when otherwise they display fine if I inserted them into simple iptv client.

no i meant that i supply nextpvr itself with the xmltv that i have. Anyway. Now I will supply you with my xmltv.

Are you using the current version of NextPVR?  Did you test with Kodi?  It might be a browser issue, it seems to works OK here for SVT 1.

Yes I'm using the latest version of NextPVR, or at least I assume it is? Version: 6.1.5.231022

Here's how it looks in Kodi:
(yes this is the Embuary skin, but this does not matter since my XMLTV file works perfectly fine on its own, when not using NextPVR)

I don't know what to tell you,  ignore the channel name/number I used a local channel otherwise Kodi is fine here too.  Using Win11 for this test.

I'm not sure either. Nonetheless my letters in the EPG are broken solely when using NextPVR, both in browser and in kodi.

It displays these broken letters no matter what device I install nextpvr on, nor access nextpvr's web on.
I really like NextPVR and I love the functionality, it's just this EPG letter issue that has been bothering me for a long time.

What do I do now? Because to me it seems a lot like NextPVR "corrupts" the epg upon insertion. It looks like the characterset just isn't big enough and somehow can't handle it.

It's not corrupt I suspect your Windows is for some reason not using UTF-8. How does the xmltv file look in notepad? Search for 252568db16344f5c8611832872308123309562 a few times should find this.

Or perhaps my computer is set wrong let me check the encoding no it is fine ö is C3B6 as expected
