Win11 service recording to share on win10 PC

The error was in your Prestartup.bat so I was confused about the subntet

So yes \\192.168.86.39\PVR should work if it works in the browser

For the service

- Go to the Start menu and type services to get the service list
- Find "NextPVR Service"
- Right click -> Properties -> Login -> and fill in this account

Thanks for that Martin.
I changed the Settings/General/RecordingDirectory to \\192.168.86.39\PVR  See pdf
Tried to record and did not see the recording start.
I changed it back to a local drive to confirm that it still recorded locally successfully.

I could not find a place to add login in the services area.
Maybe I'm missing something now in Win11?  See pdf screen shots

Looks like another typo, Windows uses backslashes

If that doesn't fix it check you have full permissions to read, write, list and create folders.

I'm on Win11. It's still called 'Services'. Just press the Windows key, then type Services.

Thank you sub. I was looking at Task Manager. I see it now...

I was mistakenly using the Task Manager to view the services. sub's advice to use Windows key 'Services' got me to the right place.

I added a new user and password in on my local NextPVR machine Windows /Settings /Users then applied that user to the 'NextPVR Service'
I was then able to use use \\192.168.86.39\PVR in NextPVR Settings General/Recording Directory.

PVR is a Share that I set up in that remote Win10 machine (192.168.86.39) which leads to a specific folder.
I set that share (PVR) with 'Everyone' having full control.
I suppose I could be more careful on access control but maybe later.

It was a very happy moment when the 'N' icon turned red in my test of this new setup.
