cyberlink ATI decoder

I have PowerDVD installed and I am using an ATI x700 in my laptop, yet I don't see an option for this decoder. The reason I want to use that decoder is that I have a PVR-USB2 and the picture really stutters on LiveTV in gbpvr, yet it plays perfect in WinTV.

This decoder is supported because it's the one I use. It should show up in the dropdown of decoders available in Config's Playback tab. In fact, if you open config.xml, you'll find it in the list there too.

I wonder if perhaps the name is slightly different with the version you have. If you can determine the correct full name for the decoder, you can add it to the list in the config.xml. Or, if it's set as the system default, you can set gbpvr to use the system default.

All I see in the dropdown is

InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder For Hauppauge
CyberLink Video/SP Decoder
Nero Video Decoder

The InterVideo one gives decent performance, but not quite as good as WinTV.

Did you try "system default"?

If I understand the way gbpvr works correctly, if it finds a decoder it knows it'll show up in the dropdown. The ATI CyberLink decoder shows up as "CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (ATI)". Why yours isn't showing up I'm not sure, unless it's name is somehow different (maybe a newer version?).

If you know or can determine the correct name for the decoder, if you add it to the config.xml it'll show up in config if the name is correct. Otherwise, if you can make it your system's default decoder, you can set config to use the system default.
