Sub,
You're fantastic. I just arrived at work and checked this thread to read this great news. I can hardly wait to test it tonight!

Thanks,
MaBo

Just stay in a good mood and remember this change when I put the release out in the next couple of days and you find I havn't had a chance to do any more improvements to your ability navigate with your touch screen. Sorry - I've been quite busy and this didn't make it to the top of the priority list!

Sub,

Tested it out yesterday and (of course) it worked! This is THE addition of the year to my htpc, so I'll stay in the good mood for some time, even if touchscreen support is delayed a bit. Is there a way I can help on that issue?

Do I have to reinstall gbpvrwake and wake.cmd after installing the new version of gbpvr?

One minor remark on gbpvrwake: it also executes wake.cmd when it wakes from suspend. I don't need this, but it is not that bad, and it may be helpfull for some people.

Mikkel, what I did to get this working was:
1/ Download devcon from microsoft: here (reading the article can be useful as well)
2/ Unpack devcon by running it and copy the file devcon.exe in the folder i386 to c:\program files\devcon
3/ Download the utility gbpvrwake.exe mentioned earlier in this thread (maybe not needed for the newer version 21, where it may be included) and install it in your gbpvr directory (probably c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr)
4/ Create a shortcut to gbpvrwake in your startup folder in the start menu (simply drag gbpvrwake.exe to the start button, then the programs section, then startup folder)
5/ Create (with notepad) a file wake.cmd in your gbpvr directory with the following contents:
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">Please see below for the latest version
6/ Create a batchfile restartPVR.bat in the directory c:\program files\devcon with the following contents:
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">Not needed anymore, see below
7/ If you create a directory c:\Syslog waking from hibernation and the results of restarting the pvr are logged to a file syslog.txt. Please check that file a few times to see whether errors are generated.

Please note that if you are using other programs than ir.exe and gbpvr that use the pvr350, you may have to stop them as well before restarting the pvr. Also, you may want to gestart gbpvr at the end of the second batchfile.

Greetz,
MaBo

Hi guys,

Yesterday I noticed that I had to modify wake.cmd a bit. It turned out that in my setup (computer goes to standby after 5 minutes, into hibernation after 10 minutes) the script in wake.cmd is called also when the computer goes from standby to hibernate. This is apparantly noticed as a wake event! What I changed (apart from putting the contents of restartPVR.bat into wake.cmd) is create a kind of semaphor that indicates that a version of wake.cmd is running. If another version is running the next one is exited immediately. In most cases the time the computer is awake to go from standby into hibernation is too short to come to the point where the pvr350 is restarted. Thus the actual restarting is done when the computer wakes from hibernation.

Here's the content of my new wake.cmd. Please note that the semaphor is placed in the directory c:\syslog. If that directory does not exist, this measure will not work. Either create the dir, or modify the parameter checkfile
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">The newest version of wake.cmd is in my post on page 5 here
Post edited 20040922. The batchfile is cleaned a bit. There was some redundancy and remarks were at the wrong place.

Hi stu8080,

No, its not part of the main release. Its currently a separate download. The link http://www.gbpvr.com/GBPVRWake.exe still appears to be working fine for me.

Use save link as... from the right-click mouse menu...

Greetz,
MaBo

(I think sub has designed this program to only run on a machine that has gbpvr on it, so running it somewhere else may cause errors.)

Hi MaBo,

in your wake.cmd i miss the restart of GBPVR.exe [Image: rock.gif]
I use GB-PVR with a PVR350 and on TV only.

Only for Example - i already added it in my wake.cmd.
BTW - Thanks for coding.
PC,PVR-350,GB-PVR,TV - all that i want
