all of the sudden, i'm having problems with sound. Livetv will lose its sound, but everything else works (recorded files, dvds, etc). Usually to fix this, i have to do a regedit and remove the last volume key and then restart all instances of gbpvr, or a restart of windows. this started only recently happening out of the blue. any help?

Welcome to the club! I have been living this for a while, I cannot figure out why GB-PVR screws up the sound in various situations. I am happy to do any sort of testing, even replace my sound card.

after the cold boot i thought the sound issue was fixed. but it only worked for one show. i recorded a one hour show and watched it as it recorded. at the show when it went back to main menu, the sound no longer worked. i tried downgrading to 9310 but the problem was still there. its only happening in live tv.

here is a screenshot of the wav being set low. you can move the slider back up and sound is restored. but every time the volume key is pressed, it goes all the way down. this is also kind of related to this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=8243

this thing is driving me crazy. it happens randomly. sometimes the wav doesn't even mute, but it still has no sound. so iv'e also attached every log file too.

The only way you would have ended up with a low volume in the 'LastVolume' setting is if you turned the volume down. If you hold down the volume+ key on the remote does the volume come back?

sometimes yes and sometimes no. most of the time when you press volume up it moves the on the first push, then mutes on the second push, then the volume comes back on the third push, then mutes, and so on and on. but the wav never moves.

Sorry, I dont know. I tried to reproduce this this morning, but it doesnt behave the same for me. My wave never moves. It always stays in the same place even though the volume is changing.

Have tried selecting another Audio Renderer option in the config app?

yea, i've tried the intervideo, cyberlink, default, mpeg, and the other one. but the all do it regardless. tried every different setting in the 3 boxes(video, audio render, and the other audio) and tried vmr9,7, and osd. it follows the problem everywhere. but it only happens in live tv, and then it happens almost all the time.
