Zap2it Issues!

[Broadband]

Here is the situation: I can't get Zap2It to update my EPG.

Here is my setup:

Windows XP SP2 Freshly Installed
- .NET 1.1 with Service Pack
- Windows firewall disabled

GB-PVR v0.94.13

Created a Zap2it account and also created a current lineup.

If i put in an incorrect username and password and hit Update EPG i get a near instant error telling me my setup is incorrect which means I'm talking to the Zap2it login server.

If i put in my CORRECT username and password and hit Update EPG it says:

Requesting listing information from Zap2it.com

After about a minute it times out with the error "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly"

If i'm able to talk to their server and if my login and password work on their site AND I have a current lineup setup what is the problem?

Same here... i'm guessing zap2it is having a promlem

I had the same problem earlier today but it seems to have magically fixed itself. Don't give up hope!

Yeah, I just tried the settings Broadband emailed. It seems to be working fine here. Zap2it must have been having some problems earlier.

I've been manually attempting updates periodically over the past 3 hours with no luck.

It also seems like XMLTV is failing to work too. :confused:

Well i've tried using alternative DNS servers, I've tried using XMLTV, I've rebooted my router, tried setting this machine DMZ and still getting the error.

Any suggestions or is all hope lost?

Here is the results i get in XMLTV. It pauses at Fetching from Datadirect for about 2 minutes.

If XMLTV is failing, its obvisously not GB-PVR related.

Maybe your ISP is having problems. I'm sure if you leave it for a bit it'll come right.
