Sorry, but this is a dumb question.
Basically, I uninstalled a bunch of software from Windows XP, all what I thought was free (crappy) software that came with most of my hardware. Well, I must have uninstalled my MPEG-2 Decoder at some point, because I couldn't play MPEGs through GBPVR or WMP. I also couldn't watch live TV with GBPVR (only got the sound).
I checked the config tool and it had no video or audio decoders listed.
So, I installed the Cyberlink PowerDVD demo. Windows media player now plays video again, with sound.
I went through config, set things up, but I still have no sound in GBPVR (except live TV). I think I have tried every combination of audio decoder (options are MPEG audio decoder or Cyberlink audio decoder) with every choice of renderer.
So... no sound. Anyone have any ideas.
Sorry in advance, I hate no having any idea what I'm doing, and sorry to be asking dumb questions.
