Issue changing channel to same IPTV connection

StreamMaster is from the creator of Xteve.
It is a m3u proxy that emulates HDhomerun tuners for software such as Plex etc.

I believe in streammasters preferences when you setup a source, you can specify how many streams per tuner.
(I believe the default is 1)
eg. When I setup streammaster, I fed it the NextPVR m3u channel data URL that NextPVR generates, which included My two Hauppauge DVB-T tuner cards, which are dual tuners, so I set the stream limit to 4.  (2 per tuner)

Not sure what the other user means by backend, as in my use case, NextPVR was the backend, Streamaster is in the middle, and Plex would be the frontend.

Plex of course supports DVB-T tuners natively, but while my two Hauppauge DVB-T dual tuners work most excellent in NextPVR on ALL tuned channels, I found Plex had major issues with some of my channels here in NZ like TVOne.
It was like virtually unwatchable and has major stutters etc, and plex reports weak signal, except it aint a weak signal.
(other users on the plex forums ay it is cause my signal is too strong)  (WTF)

StreamMaster might fix that for me, but I personally don't think Plex DVR fucntion is anywhere near as nice as NextPVR functionality.

I take it that the other user is wanting to record his IPTV channels into NextPVR, in which case I have not tried that,
Presumably one would have to feed the Streammaster m3u and guide data into NextPVR's IP Tuner.

As mentioned in my other reply, try increasing the stream limit to be more than 1.

My setup:
Tunners/IPTV --> StreamMaster --> NextPVR --> Plex/Kodi

The issue is not with the number of connections - If you have more than 1 connection available for a channel then there is no issue because it will just switch to another.
The issue is when changing a channel with only 1 connection, the previous hold is either kept too long or NextPVR doesn't wait long enough for the release.
If I remove NextPVR from the equation, I do not get these problems.
Until this is fixed, I will just route Tuners through NextPVR and the IPTV connections directly to the end clients from StreamMaster

I thought you described sending Stream Master to Plex. Using this doesn't confuse me. Feeding Plex this way will still need work if you have more than one Plex client.

I suspect that you only have this IPTV specific problem when you use the Web Player stop, with a different issue with the web UI client. If you use other client like Kodi or UI clients other than the web UI client the previous stream will be stopped.

Right i think things are getting confusing now as i have provided more information than needed (Yes the plex streams come straight from streammaster - my last comment was incorrect)

Root problem still exist though. 
IPTV 1 Connection - StreamMaster - NextPVR - Kodi
When changing channels in the web interface/PVR Client OR Kodi, i see the same issue. 
I have attached a video showing the problem

Attachments have to be zipped and under 2MB but it is not necessary, the issue is clear from the logs and sub needs to change it when he has time.

I re attached after you sent the last comment, do i need to log this issue anywhere, or is he already aware? is there a bug tracker anywhere?

No need, it is not a new issue just not reported and it isn't even critical but certainly nice to have. Until then if you really want a STB experience for tuning use a NextPVR client or Kodi they will be much better for OTA anyway.
