Missing EPG guide data for one channel (clients only)

Hi,

All of a sudden I'm finding that one of my channels (Channel 4 in the UK) has no guide data at all on any of my Kodi clients using the NextPVR addon. When I log onto the server I can see there is EPG data for that channel and as far as I can see the settings are as per all the other channels (e.g. EPG Source = DVB/ATSC EPG).

The Server is on Windows 10, the clients are in Kodi using the NextPVR addon. I can of course post logs but unclear which ones (server and/or client) but also I recall reading somewhere that this is a known issue but I can no longer find that post and can't remember if that was a really old post or something current.

There is a known issue XML encoding used by Kodi that was discussed in this thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=66082 Sub never released a patch for it but this one https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid598754 might have include fix for the \0 problem.

Thanks, I’ve checked both those out and kept an eye on them, few similar looking threads opened up too which makes it hard to figure out what the latest advice is?

If you’re asking about the DLL file, I can see that many have with no success and have also responded with logs so didn’t feel it worthwhile. Am I missing something?

There have been a few "issues" identified with EPG data coming from some sources. They are not all the same. That updated DLL file takes care of some of the issues, but not all of them. So, it would probably be worthwhile for you to try it and see if it fixes your particular problem.

Yes, I have had a few, but that doesn't change the fact this dll addresses some issues in the XML markup specific to Kodi from the UK EPG which is the problem you described. If you had provided the required Kodi debug logs we need for proper support I could identify if the bad XML is what we are seeing. I don't think all XML has been addressed yet.

Typically when sub uploads a file, that becomes the basis for the next version so I don't have any reservation about asking users to try.

Ah ok, will give it a go and report back. Will happily post logs too, think I asked somewhere which ones, kodi logs or server logs?

I ask for both to start since generally we don't know if Kodi or NextPVR is the problem.  However in this scenario I expect we'd need a copy of your npvr.db3 if the dll doesn't work and your web guide is complete
