LiveTV halts for long periods when left playing

Hi all,

I left GB-PVR on last night for many hours (while I dozed off) and when I came back, playback was no longer in real time. I would get 1-2 second bursts of video+audio followed by 5-10 seconds of still screen. It seems to take 15-20 minutes of viewing before getting into this state.

Anybody else have similar problems? I'm using the wintvcap plugin for recording/viewing with the bitrate set @ 8.0 mbps VBR and the intervideo nonCSS software decoder.

The problem seems to be specific to GB-PVR as wintv2k doesn't seem to exhibit the same behaviour.

I'll take a look - probably something to do with large files. Were you using LiveTV at the time?

Yes, thanks. The livetv-[0-9].mpg file was about 5gig when I finally killed it. It may have started long before that though (I had dozed off).

don't know if it helps but I get this problem with Wintv2k. I've been talking to hauppauge and they've tried, irq conflicts on PVr and sound card and conflicting decoders (powerdvd)

Not sure if thats any help
