Unable to record to NAS

Trying to record to a local NAS from a Windows 10 installation of NextPVR.
I mapped network drive, F:, to the IP of the NAS 192.168.50.4. In NextPVR, I am unable to see drive F under settings "General" and "Recording Directory." I read that I need to switch NextPVR Service from Local System account to a user account, which I did. While I am able to record locally with that changed, I still am unable to see the F drive when trying to change the recording directory.

I have tried manually entering the location, "\\192.168.50.4\Recordings or "D:\Recordings" all of which do not record to.

I saw that there was a thread from 2009 about a utility called ShareHelper but have been unable to find an actual download for that (I could not find it on the wiki).

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

The NextPVR service need to run as a user in order to be able to access network based resources.
As a general rule, in order to access remote drives/shares, the permissions for access must match.
So the NextPVR service must be running as a user which matches the user that has permissions to access the remote drive.
If the account under which NextPVR is running isn't the same as the account under which you mapped the NAS drive NextPVR is not going to see it.
The user must also have write permissions to the directory on the NAS if you're going to record to it.

I myself have a lot of movie files on my NAS. I created a share on my NAS linked to the movie directory and gave the share access permissions for the account under which my NextPVR service runs.
The first time I try to manually access the share from Windows File Explorer, Windows asks me to input the relevant NAS Share access permissions (User/Password). Windows asks whether it should remember those share permissions and I respond YES.
From there onwards, NextPVR can access the share as if it was a local drive.

\\192.168.50.4\Recordings or "D:\Recordings" are not the same thing.  For a share you would need a share name.
