Hauppauge WinTV-7164 (HVR-2200) not recognised

Hi, long-time nextpvr user, years since I have posted a message...
I have a pretty old Hauppauge WinTV-7164 (HVR-2200), which is a dual-tuner. A/D card. I have just built a new PC with  gigabyte Z890 motherboard, and it seems my capture card is not recognised, even within the bios. It was working ok in my old PC.
Has anyone used such an old card (date printed on card is 2007!!!) in a recent PC? I just wanted to know if I can get it working quickly.

If I cannot get it going shortly, and being so old, I should probably just buy a new one. I was thinking of a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD (need it for DVB-T, NZ Freeview).

I think you'll find that card's a bit beyond its sell-by date :-).

It's PCIe V1 and your new motherboard will be PCIE 4 or 5 dependant on the slot used. These newer motherboards don't guarantee compatibility with PCIe V1 which goes back over 20 years ago. Hence the bios doesn't recognise it.

Hi Ray, Yep fair call, time for a new capture card. And 4 tuners so I can more rapidly fill up all the spare space I have (not), lol
