I have just installed GBPVR and think it is a great program and quite easy to set up.Smile

My problem is that all my recordings have sound like a dalek (very juttery). The LiveTV is fine.

Is there anything that I can change?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Of course, this might not be the problem at all, but what you can do is to play around with the audio rendering and audio decoder settings. Most probably the audio decoder setting would be the problem. If you don't have many options there, you need to get your hands on more mpeg decoders; that would give you more options.

It's probably not this because the live TV is fine, but with my card I always have to start up the hauppauge wintv2000 application on restarting my computer to initialise my pvr150, otherwise its picture is very blurry, and to initialise my US-source pvr250, otherwise my PAL hack doesn't work. Might be worth starting and closing wintv yourself to see if that helps. (I just have it as a start-up task now, before loading gb-pvr - the computer is only rarely turned off anyway)

Stefan/Tieke,

Thanks for the replies. I will have a go at your suggestions when I get home from work.

If I record through WinTV2000 there are no problems and playback through any software of the MPEG file is OK. If I do record through GBPVR then I cannot play through any software without the 'dalek' sound effects. Does this mean that it is a problem with the recording through GBPVR?
