Brilliant idea. I use GBPVR just on my PC and have no remote. It would be nice to have a way to change the PCs volume whilst watching a program or listening to Radio.
Must say this is a brilliant program and everybody who supports it deserves a pat on the back. This is better than most (all) pay PVRs.
A volume bar as a configurable option perhaps. My TV does this - everytime I touch the volume, the green bar appears - it drives me up the wall. I prefer to make subtle volume changes without everyone else noticing.
Mute Icon? I rely on the silence to tell me that it is muted but yeh, I guess it would make it look a little more pro.
jonathanpugh: great isn;t it! However, the thread is about having a volume bar on the screen, not being able to control the volume. You can simply do this using your windows volume control, unless I have mis-understood what you are saying.
âIf this is the way Queen Victoria treats her prisoners, she doesn't deserve to have any.â
I would like to see gbpvr be able to control the windows volume control and dispolay the volume "scale" as it does so. And the mute on icon would be nice too, so you can see if you muted the system and the sound is not just randomly missing.
Have you ever listened to a song with silence at the beginning of the file? You hit the mute button a few times to make sure it's off, and turn the volume way up. Then the song suddenly starts playing at full blast and you scare the cat.
I had this problem today. No sound. The first idea that comes to mind was that a codec where missing or that ffdshow/ac3filter was configured wrong (been at it a couple of hours earlier today).
So an icon for mute would be apreciated! A volume bar would also be helpful.
