I think I've followed all the steps, but still not getting there..... I have gbpvr set up with a Nova-T and working fine. I want to add a Twinhan sat card. The card is in the pc and has been working. I've downloaded the Twinhan BDA drivers, but when I try the setup prog (depending on version) it complains that this is only for MCE or asks me to install SP4 (I'm running W2k SP4),

so I've gone to device manager and updated the driver for DTV video and replaced it with THBDA (thbda_mce_uk renamed) and when the driver was asked for 878bda.sys renamed to thbda.sys. It now looks right in device manager, but graphedit only shows Twinhan under filters and not reciever component.....What am I missing?

Did you update the driver for the DTV audio as well?

Yes - using the same file. I'll post some screen shots when I get home

Sorry, I dont know. You might have to contact Twinhan about that one.

I'd personally try removing and re-adding the drivers again.

I've done that about 6 times....rerun the normal setup, check that it works in progdvb then replace the drivers and find that it won't start. Does my method sound right; i.e. rename thbda_mce_uk to thbda, 878bda.sys renamed to thbda.sys and use the same driver for dtv video and audio? Is there any way to fool the auto setup that SP4 is installed?

Thanks

No, not really. I never had to rename anything. When I upgraded, all I did was select the 'DTV Audio' and 'DTV Video' filters one at a time, selecting 'upgrade drivers', selected 'no, I'll select what drivers to install', 'have disk' then browse to the twinhan driver directory and select the.inf file. Then selected the 'twinhan dvb-s BDA driver' option (cant remember exact text).

Sorry to appear obtuse, but in the later version of TH BDA drivers there isn't a THBDA.INF; only THBDA_MCE_Uk, THBDA_MCE_AU etc. and in the latest version it is called 878BDA.INF. Should I be specifying the same driver for both vid and aud? I end up with 'twinhan PCI BDA tuner driver' appearing twice in device manager with no indication as to whether it is audio or video

If you're having problems installing these newer drivers, why dont you try some older drivers like the 1.2.1.9 drivers that many other people are using?

Done that...I now have BDA Tuner Driver and BDA Capture driver in device manager. In Graphedit it shows BDA Tuner Tilter under Source Filters and BDA Capture Filter under Receiver Component. Is that how it should look?
