hi,
A couple of questions:
a) any one else using bladerunner epg successfully?
b) is it normal for gbpvr to fail silently when an import fails as I can not see anything in the logs
c) is it possible the XMLTV plugin in gbpvr is not 100% xmltv compliant?

I recently changed to the latest version of blade because the previous started to fail and ever since the produced listing2.xml file is not getting imported into gbpvr.
The listing file does appear complete, the xmltv.xsd (xmltv schema) is the same as the old version of blade. The listing file is in a slightly different format than the previously generated file, but should still be fine.

any help appreciated

or a gbpvr bug.

In order for gbpvr to import the listing2.xml file it requires the channel id element. Like:
<tv>
<channel id="BCD">
<display-name>BCD</display-name>
</channel>
...
<programme start...

the new version of bladerunner does not generate this information. This does not appear to be a problem because the programme element has a channel attribute with the same information.

So my new questions would be:
1. same as previous post Smile

can you email an xmltv file to support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

Hi, I was having the same issue and tried loading the channel id info and that solved the problem for me too.

well finally got to the bottom, bladerunnerpro uses javaxmltv2 to generate the listing file. The author of this program has kindly created a version 2.1 available from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles..._id=117011 which generates the channel id elements. It requires jre 1.5 though.
as of yet i have not tested it, but all should be good Smile

A little bird told me that the next release of GB-PVR will accomodate for the lack of channel id elements; making BRP & JavaXMLTVGrabber2 work for all of us Aussie's stuck without a free EPG option for GB-PVR

Big Grin Thanks Sub Big Grin

I should note that JavaXMLTVGrabber2 doesn't have a detailed description; don't know about BRP - hopefully this too will be corrected in the future by those in the know ..
