Im using <Version>GB-PVR v0.94.13</Version>
Heres a zip of the log file just after I have tried to play 2 seperate movies (neither started) In both cases I used teh F11 menu PlayMovie option.

yeah that log doesnt show anything. can you try it on just normal mpeg2/avi files and see if it works.

ok, i put a mpeg file in the intros direcory and it played before the movie. I also renamed the VOB files to mpeg and they played ok. HOWEVER, the movie itself didnt start after the first intro was done.
I have INTROS enabled for 2 random. In the first test, I had 1 MPEG and 1 VOB file. It played the first MPEG and after it completed, quit back to the MyVideos screen. Thinking there might have been a problem that it was supposed to lay 2 and couldnt, I renamed the otehr VOB to MPEG and tested. THis time, both intros played, one after the other, but instead of the movie playing, it quit to the MyVideos screen again. NOTE: I have DISABLED the play trailers option in case that was causing the issue. Heres the ziped log file:

do the vobs/mov files play fine if you just play them from my videos normally?
2005-11-19, 08:13 PM
yes & no IF the file is a MPEG extension, it plays fine. If the file extension isnt liked, it behaves poorly.
Some interesting behavior. I have trailers in c:\progfiles\devnz\gbpvr\trailers Intros in c:\progfiles\devnz\gbpvr\intros I setup a Movie path as c:\progfiles\devnz\gbpvr in the MyVideos config. If I have any file in either of those directories that MyVideos doesnt like (.MOV, .VOB) when I enter the directory, MyVideos kicks me back to the gbpvr directory. If at least one of the files is a recognized extension, it lets me in, but only shows the recognized file.

what do you mean exactly "MyVideos kicks me back to the gbpvr directory" ?
Quote:If at least one of the files is a recognized extension, it lets me in, but only shows the recognized file.you have added "mov" and "vob" to the file extension list in the config right? Quote:If the file extension isnt liked, it behaves poorly.and what do you mean by "poorly"?

all my videos does whenever you select a file to play (under any circumstance, ie "Play Video" or "Play Movie") is pass a list of files to gbpvr to play. it doesnt handle any of the video playback itself.

Ohh Myy God do I feel stupid! I hadnt added the vob & mov extensions...and now that I have they at least play in MyVideos, BUT I still have some trouble getting BOTH intros and trailers to play along with the movie I selected. I can get the intros to play but never trailers (unless I add them to the intro folder) and after the intros play, the movie fails to start, and instead I am back at the MyVideos screen.
Test Case configs: 2 VOB files in ./intro folder. 12 mov files in ./trailer folder TestCase 1: Config set to Intros Enabled, play random number 1. Tailers NOT enabled. From Menu POP UP | Play Movie: one intro plays and then returns to MyVideo Screen (movie doesnt start) TestCase 2: Same as above but disabled Inro and Enabled Trailers, play 2 From Menu POP UP | PlayMovie: Movie starts, no trailers play TestCase 3: Intros enabled Play Random:1, Trailers enabled Play: 1 From Menu POP UP | Play Movie: Movie starts, no intro or trailer play For a test, I added a trailer mov file to the intro folder and it did play no problem...but still after the intros play, the MyVideos screen comes back instead of the movie playing.
I have the exact same problem. Intros play, but then nothing (back to myvideos menu). Trailers don't play at all (regardless of format avi/mov/mpg).
Log doesn't reveal any clues. No errors reported. I'm using the version 95.16 running on Win xp MCE |
