The tv icons in gbpvr won't display in the tv guide. Could this be happening because i am using zap2it instead of the other tv guide importing plugins?

This is a good program that kicks set-top dvd recorders and DVRs (tivo replay) in the glutes. My younger brothers state that my computer is the equivalent to a theater all thanks to this exceedingly splendid program. They now that a "piece of junk" Video Cassette Recorder or pretty much anything else will never be a match for this program .

Sub is a programming genius indeed. Smile

Where did you get your icons? GB-PVR wont automatically get them for you. It'll only download them automatically if you're using xmltv, and the xmltv file has the icon URL specified, otherwise it has no way of knowing what the icons should be, or where to get them.

You can manually download them and save them in the 'C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos' directory.

Thanks Sub

I live in the usa and uses zap2it which means that I will look for usa xmltv files. I looked for xmltv files, but I couldn't find them. I don't know where to get the channel logos.

I'm a very new newbie, but spotted that the UK icons for the bleb listings come from satlogo.com - this is "under maintainance" and by changing satlogo to lynsat-logo in the belb xml file fixed it for me.

Since you're in the US, dont bother switching from zap2it to xmltv. The US xmltv grabber doesnt have the icon URL either (since it gets its info from zap2it), so it wouldnt help you get the icons. You'll just have to download them and manually save them in the directory I mentioned above.

You can probably get most of your logos from here: http://www.lyngsat-logo.com/tvcountry/us.html

Make sure you give them the exact same name as the channel so they show up.

anyway of grabing the xml file that gb-pvr uses so i can have manual listing of the channel names to move around my desktop. kinda have gb-pvr setup full screen on the tvout. and by the way that is one of the main reasons have stuck with this program (that nice little check box on the first page of th econfig that says fullscreen on display2)

the list of channel names that gb-pvr program uses for the guide. so I can do a little cut and paste job to fish the channel logos and rename them. just would be a lot easier to use a text file to read from.

There is no text file that has that list, but if you have MS Access, you can always open the GBPVR.MDB database and exact the list of channel names to a file. They are in the 'CHANNEL' table.

wee that was fun. found 2 channels i need to totally remove and 4 channels that dont have any logos. the completeness is missing!!!!!!
thanks for that tip about the table. that made thing a little better since the osd guide cuts off everything after the 4th letter.
