Just installed the software, tried watching live tv.

It seems to work fine, except I can't get to the mini tv guide and can't get captioning to come up. I do have captions selected in the setup. All I can seem to do with livetv on is change the channel and exit.

How did you try to access them? What did you press?

Closed captions only work in a very limited number of situations. Only for PVR250/350 owners, and only when they playback pre-recorded video. It does not work for any other cards. They must also be use VMR and the Intervideo decoder.

Control-G like it says in the manual

Tell me you're not saying the wintv-pvr-150mce card doesn't do captions...I can't watch tv without captions..

Your fears are correct. You will not be able to use your PVR150MCE to do captions.

Do you see *any* OSD information? for example, when you pause? If not, you might be trying to use the Cyberlink decoder with VMR. This combination results in no OSD unless you add some Cyberlink registry settings. For details, google for 'cyberlink EnableVMR9'.

I have an internal card - no remote

So far the only way I've gotten any results are hitting the arrow keys (change channel) and escape (back to menu)

Try hitting F11.
Please reconsider getting a 350. You'll be much better off (and cheaper) getting a 250, which is identical to the 350, but with no mpeg-2 DEcoder built in. The 350 also has some issues with stability with some motherboards/chipsets/drivers.
You can never have enough tuners!

They're the same price on Amazon, but if the 250 is better I'll go with it
