First off let me say that the Hi Vis skin is great for the MediaMVP, especially for someone like me who is suffering from aging eyes Wink

I would very much like to take advantage of SUB's recent upgrade of gbpvr to ver 95.14. I've tried it and, as reported, it seems to resolve the issue where the MediaMVP times out and disconnects and then re-connects if an operation takes longer than 8 seconds (very common when Enqueueing many folders at one time in My Music).

Unfortunately, I find that 95.14 will not load with the Fat Blue - Hi Vis skin, so I really can't use 95.14 yet, unless I want to sit 2 feet from the TV (a 27") when trying to read the screen.

Do you have any plans for updating the skin to be compatible with the new release?

Thanks again for all the great work.

I believe that the Fat Blue Hi Vis skin was updated for 95.11. It should also work for 95.14. It's available on the wiki.

On the WIKI the following statement is found:

Quote:The latest version of the FatBlueHighVisibility skin is v0.95.11

BUT, the only downloadable ZIP file that contains the skin elements is labeled and named:

Quote:v94.13 version: Attach:FatBlueHighVisibility.zip

Just to be sure, I downloaded it again and diff'd it against the one I had downloaded 3 weeks ago. I found no file differences. And, when I try to use the "Hi Vis" skin against gbpvr 95.14, gbpvr doesn't load.

I just did the same thing and found i was wrong. I thought i'd better log back on and correct my post. What you can do until it's updated is go to the blue skin, open up the osd folder and copy the file ProcAmp.xml into the osd folder of the fat blue hi vis skin.

Also in the blue skin root directory you'll find a file named BaseSkin.xml. copy that file into the root of the fat blue hi vis skin.

that will get you working again. Sorry about the mis information. This time i did do as above and checked to make sure it works. it does!

I have upgraded to 95.14, and by copying the two files mentioned above, FBHV skin works fine on PC and MVP.

There were no skin changes between 95.11 an 95.14, so the green orb version on the wiki is current. I made quite a few updates to the skin - copying all of sub's changes in the last release, but I am waiting for his next update release before finalising the updated skin with the original icons as well. (The green orb skin does unpack to a different directory though, so you can have it coexisting with the original skin)

I'm not sure what is meant by
Quote:the only downloadable ZIP file that contains the skin elements is labeled and named...
- the .95 version skin (directly linked above) is listed in the wiki just above the .94 version you refer to. I have just downloaded it to check, and it seems to hold all the skin info necessary?

cheers,

I guess what's confusing me about this is that the one you refer to states:

Quote:Green Orb v0.95.14 version: Attach:9511GreenOrb.zip

So, my assumption that this is the version of the FBHV skin that uses the Green Orb icons, whereas I am looking to replace the FBHV skin that uses the standard look and feel.

Perhaps I'm not understanding how this is setup, so I'll download it and give it a try.

Thanks.

Yep - you are right in that the 0.95 version does have the green orb icons, although the icons are the only things different about the two releases. I have now uploaded a copy of the skin with the original icons as well.

cheers,
