Hello,
I am trying to use GBPVR with an MCE remote and ir blaster. I seleted MCE but GBPVR crashed. Moreover, I have tried to use Girder with no success (when i select girder the GBPVR won't save, just freezes),
could someone tell me how to use MCE ir blasters with GBPVR?

Also, I know everything is set up properly because I'm using MCE 2005 right now.
THANKS!

With MCE, I dont if there is some software you need to stop that is hanging on to the hardware (keeping it in use).

Just ignoring the IR Blaster side of things initially (ie, capture source 'channel changer' set to 'none'), if you set the remote type to MCE does it allow you to control GB-PVR?

Yes the MCE remote will control GBPVR however, It is supposed to work with the IR Blasters,
If someone has gotten Girder to work with the MCE plugin please tell me how you did it,
Thanks.

Use Hip instead, and just map MCE buttons to the corresponding keyboard presses for GB-PVR. Takes about 15 minutes to set up.

Yes, it was supposed to, but no one has really used this feature yet. I think you were the first person to post about it. Strangely though, another person also posted about it yesterday, and when I looked into his problem I realized there is a problem with MCE IR Blaster support. Until the next release, you'll need to look at either HIP or Girder. Sorry.

I'm not sure. I guess so. I've never used HIP, so I dont really know anything about it.

yeah, download the HipSend.exe utility from the hip website, choose .exe and point it at hipsend. theres a very good thread on the hip forum about how to use it with GBPVR, it was written specifically to use GBPVR with hip so works wellSmile
