Hi sub. Thanks for offering to take a look at the logs. I hadn't thought to look in there myself (duh!), but it'll take me a while to figure it all out so your help is gratefully received.

I've attached the zip logs below.

Thanks for the key to the scan cache file - I'll see if I can find the extra info I need just in case there's nothing to be seen in the logs. I'm really keen to get GB-PVR working for me - it blows the socks off the competition!

If necessary I'm happy to invest in an aerial upgrade etc - but just want to make sure that's what it is before I spend the cash Smile (fyi also never had a problem with viewing channels through the freeview box, but I appreciate this is a different kettle of fish!)

Thanks, J.

I cant see anything obvious. You could try editing config.xml and setting <BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser> to see if it helps.

lol. Well, I've set <BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser> and now a scan doesn't find any channels at all - even the ones I could get before Sad

Does that tell us anything?

No, not really, other than the fact that the new PSI Parser introduced in the most recent release isnt the cause of your problem. The old style scan also doesnt work for you.

I remembered that I'd switched BDAScanType to 2 to see if that fixed it (based on one of your other posts) so switched it back. Now it picks up the previous channels again irrespective of the Parser setting.

Looks like I need to get in there and force the channels in manually - I'll let you know how I get on. (Looking at all the extra info I need to put into the SCAN cache file I'm thinking it might be harder than I thought!).

Thanks for your help,

J.

OK, i've found all of the other info (from the powercinema internal DB and the digibox), but don't seem to be able to find the 3 above anywhere - can you give me any hints on where to look?

(I've put the C values into a 0301.ini file and just scanned those freqs, but the config app still won't pick up anything other than the channels it already had. )

I'm getting really confused by the whole thing - the digibox reckons that the BBC channels both have the same strength and quality as the ITVs... That makes me confident that once I've put the correct values in the SCAN cache GB-PVR will be able to view them OK, but still leaves me confused about why the scan doesn't pick them up.

Most DVB software applications will show this information.
