Hello
Well I finally got around to building a dedicated PVR (achem my first attempt)
quick specs
Asus a8v-mx
amd 3500
512 meg ram
ati 9000 pro 128meg (not all in wonder)
Hauppauge PVR 150 with ir blaster
160gig raid 0
I installed all the Hauppauge software (perhaps a mistake) and installed GB-PVR and followed the install/config guide.
When I open GB-PVR everything seems nice it records and does timeshift well I can change the channels and it blasts my sat box fine. I have the channel listings all good to go.
However the main issue is the ATI tv out. Currently I have the CAT 5.12 CCC drivers installed. I hooked up an s-video conntection to the "video out" on the ati card and hook this directly to my TV this produced (after reboot) grey scale image that flickered the image of my PC.
I then found an s-video to RCA/yellow composite connector and tried that with the same result just different flicker and interlace. When I say flicker I mean you cant read anything just barley make out its windows/gb-pvr.
Should I be using ATI tray tools ? I am also not convinced I have the correct connector for the ATI 9000 PRO. It has a sqaure then 4 pins then 3 pins where a normal s-video has the square then 2 stagered pins then 2 pins closer.
A normal s-video cable fits fine...
A special ATI componet (red green blue) cable doesnt fit.
Anyone know what connector I need or what I am doing wrong?
