Whenever I try to pause tv, the "Switching to Timeshifting mode" black screen comes up, but it just hangs there. I have to use ctrl-alt-del and shutdown the gbpvr. The Gbpvr recording tray icon shows that it is recording whatever channel I was on, and then I have to restart it too, to stop the recording. I found a similar issue in the forum, but there was no resolution posted. Sub had asked the person post their logs, so I zipped up mine, and they are attached below.

A couple of initial comments.

- set your deinterlacing to 'encoder pass through'
- check you've correctly set card type

I did some more testing and trying things.
When I set the Deinterlacing to Encoder pass-through, my live tv goes away, and the time shifting still doesn't work.
I've also noticed it won't play back a show I recorded last night, it does the same thing, the program freezes till I do ctrl-alt-del, and kill it. It freezes at the point you press play.
Finally, I looked at the recorded show file. The show is 1hr long, and the file is 34.6GB. This seems awfully large to me; also the show file wouldn't play in Cyberlink Power DVD, it froze that program too. I'm starting to think it is something in the tuner card. I have a PVR 250, I checked the setup, and it all seems correct; the quality is set to medium. I am also using Windows XP Media Edition, I don't know if that has any ill effects or not. I tried using the XP Media Center program, and didn't like it as much.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I have also tried different playback decoders, and some kill live tv, and some work, but none work with the timeshift.
