When recording, I am getting the wrong channel and it is always the same channel, 013. Changing channels in Live TV works fine. When I originally loaded GBPVR this would happen ocasionally but only about 1 time out of 15 recordings or so. Now it is every time. The recording service tries to change the channel, but all I get is the Dish Error box saying 013 isn't a valid channel

logs can be found at http://www.logixsupportsolutions.com/gbpvr/

UPDATE: I get channel 19 when trying to record the brady bunch on channel 106
1/16/2006 8:41:27 AM.078 VERBOSE [41] Changing to channel (GBPVR.Backend.Common.ExeChannelChanger): 106

Thanks,
Josh

I see you've got it configured to use the '.exe channel changer'. Which .exe are you using? This is almost certainly your problem.

The recording service runs as a different user account, and some people have had problems running their .exe channel changer because of this. Some of these executables do stuff like trying to share data with it's other components using the clipboard and other things like that, which wont work.

I have the hauppauge 150 capture card, so I am using the HaupBlast.exe

What is the difference between changing channels in Live TV and letting the recording service change the channels?

So far, I've been more or less happy with this as a replacement for my MythTV so I can run some windows apps in the background and only have 1 PC in my livingroom, but I've gotta get this channel thing fixed, it's driving me nuts I'M MISSING STARGATE!!!! Smile

Thanks,
Josh

But it's not. I'm getting channel 013 99% of the time the recording service changes the channel. Live TV is fine

Seems a bit extreme to me. If it's working in live tv, it should work for recordings. I dont really have any suggestions though, so give it a go if you want to.

Ok, messing around trying to get different channels to record. I end up with

Channel 12 if I try and record 102
Channel 16 if I try and record 106

Looks like 0s are being ignored when the recording service tries to change the channel

Josh

Ps. It also looks like a channel change is happening right after the recording starts, but it is happening to fast for my remote software to catch, I'll have to wait til I get home. But these are the channels I'm ending up with. I end up with 013 with the higher numbered channels.

The only thing I have done recently is tape the IR blaster to the front of the DISH Sat Box after it fell off. But since it works fine for channel changes in Live TV, I'm guessing somthing is messed up with the recording service passing the channel numbers to the executable.
